Korean girl group 2NE1’s management company, YG Entertainment, announced Wednesday that the quartet will be the first Korean girl group ever to embark on a solo world tour, reported Korean media.

YG Entertainment revealed that 2NE1 will kick off their world tour with a gig at Seoul’s Olympic Park Gymnastic Stadium on July 28 and 29.

The girls will then go on to perform in 10 cities in seven countries across Asia, the Americas, as well as Europe.

However, a spokesperson for the company said that “more venues are likely to be added as performance requests from overseas come in”.

Formed in 2009, 2NE1 is best known for their hits like “Go Away” and “I Am the Best”.
