Michelle Wie celebrated her graduation from Stanford University on Sunday in Palo

Michelle Wie celebrated her graduation from Stanford University on Sunday in Palo Alto, Calif.

Her major was communications, but she already has a job lined up in another field: Pro golfer on the LPGA tour.

The next course of interest for Wie will be in Waterloo, Ontario, for the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic, Thursday-Sunday.

Wie enrolled at Stanford in September 2007, but never took courses full time because she also was chasing tournament victories.

Now she can turn her full focus to playing, and practicing, golf.

The former teen phenom had seven top-10s in majors before she turned 17, but hasn’t registered one since the 2006 U.S. Women’s Open. She has two LPGA victories.
