Former Harvard student wants his share of Facebook fame
A former Harvard student — who wrote a self-published book describing what he says was his role in creating Facebook — is suing the author of a later, best-selling book about the genesis of the wildly popular website and the distributors of the popular movie, “The Social Network.”
Aaron Greenspan alleges in his suit filed in U.S. District Court in Boston that author Benjamin Mezrich repeatedly violated Greenspan’s copyright in writing “The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook: A tale of sex, money, genius and betrayal.”
By extension, Greenspan alleges, publisher Random House Random House Latest from The Business Journals Book publishers woo authors with data to counter Amazon.comUNF Coggin business school named outstanding program Amazon Kindle book promo lures Big Six participation Follow this company and movie houses Columbia Pictures Industries Inc. and Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Corp. also violated his copyright with “The Social Network.”
The litigation follows years of effort by Greenspan to win what he says is rightful credit for his role in creating Facebook.
