Cindy Chiang wins The Amazing Race

Engaged Chicago couple Ernie Halvorsen and Cindy Chiang emerged victorious on Sunday’s finale of the The Amazing Race on CBS, capturing the show’s $1 million prize.

Halvorsen and Chiang crossed the finish line at Swan House in Atlanta, Georgia, the end of a challenging obstacle course in which they had to land a jetliner in a flight simulator; locate the house of Gone With the Wind author Margaret Mitchell; and connect the dots of their 40,000-mile journey on a map above Turner Field.

Chiang tweeted Sunday: “We thank everyone for all of the love and support over the last 12 weeks!! … What a crazy ride!!”
