I hope that the Ling sisters are finding ways to give back. Laura Ling is one very lucky woman. Kim Jong Il meant serious business. Whenever an American Journalist refuses to respect and obey the laws of the sovereign who governs the territory that he/she violated, it is generally not the responsibility of the United States to get involved. The government went to great lengths and through tremendous financial resources to rescue her. That is very rare and should not be the practice of our government going forward. If you choose to take tremendous risks in order to promote your own career, you must suffer the consequences that follow. I am sorry if this sounds harsh but the tax payers saved these women and the rescue effort was tremendous. Children are starving and dying all over the world and I see this as a very selfish act that these sisters are capitalizing on book sales and other such projects. They should be ashamed of themselves. Let’s call a spade a spade, shall we? The Ling Lady who I greatly admire is Julia Ling featured on the cover page.
