Now one of the network’s most popular shows with teens, the show

Now one of the network’s most popular shows with teens, the show just recently wrapped production on its second season! On the show Japanese American, Ryan Potter, plays the shy, awkward, but sweet “Mike Fukanaga.” Once a normal high school kid, Mike discovers that he comes from a long line of ninjas and begins training with his grandfather, Hologramps played by “Star Trek’s” George Takei. His life takes a dramatic and comedic turn into a ninja’s life of supah-battles! “Supah Ninjas” airs Saturdays on Nickelodeon (check your local listings for times.) The new season will start airing first quarter 2013.

When he isn’t acting, Ryan thrives in the martial arts world and is proficient in the art of White Tiger Kung Fu, having been training in the art since the age of eight. He continues in the White Tiger tradition today but also studies WuShu style kung fu. Ryan hopes to one day visit China and study with the Shaolin monks. Ryan is currently working on the next level in his Kung Fu training and recently began training in tricking and martial arts with Travis Wong.

Although Ryan was born in the United States, his family moved to Tokyo shortly thereafter until his return at the age of seven. He currently speaks Japanese (his first language) and English.

See him in action!
