Marisa Sung’s Rules Of Etiquette Number 8

There is no free lunch or dinner, literally! When you offer your (palace at Versailles) to a guest as a KIND GESTURE? with nothing in return intended? please be gracious and kind because the lunch and dinner is literally not free. I was not raised this way you see. I come from a very gracious and generous background and now I completely understand why I was never permitted to stay at other people’s homes outside of my own immediate inner family circle! Not only that but they actually talk about you unkindly in Greek to others while you are actually present in the room. People are simply clueless and raised poorly. For putting a roof over your head a person feels entitled to your life history and then some! I can go on and on and on but I won’t. My interrogation process is finally over and all I can say is this, do not take ANYONE but immediate family members up on hospitable gestures because they are anything but hospitable but rather they hope to spit at you. Everyone has an agenda to Westchester or somewhere else. Stay at a hotel or student hostile because you will end up saving money (not to mention dignity and privacy) and YOU will be that much happier for it. I hope that this helps, and have a great day. 🙂

PS The most gracious and kind people were the ones who did live in the Taj Mahal and there is a REAL REASON for that! I truly believe in Karma! 🙂
