Google released stunning imagery of Namie-machi, a ghost town in the Fukushima Exclusion Zone Town on Wednesday. In this photo, a ship is beached far inland due to the tidal forces of the T?hoku earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011.

It was the most powerful earthquake ever to hit Japan, and the fifth most powerful earthquake in the world since modern record-keeping began in 1900.

Evacuation zones were set up around Fukushima as fears of radiation from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster grew.
