College to be named after Aishwarya Rai

According to Rishikesh Yadav (who is the representative of Amitabh Bachchan’s family), there will soon be a college that will be named after her called ‘The Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Girls College’. The responsibility for construction of the college has been taken over from Jaya Prada’s Foundation and has now been given to the ‘Amitabh Bachchan Sewa Sansthan’ that has been set up by the villagers. He also added that a cheque of Rs. 5 lakh from Amitabh Bachchan for the construction of the college has also been given to the Sansthan. Meanwhile, Amit Singh (Village Head) said that, as announced earlier, an intermediate college would be constructed initially which will be later upgraded to graduate level.

The college will be open to underprivileged girls in the region.
