Kerry Washington always looks exquisite and she opted for a purple, black and inky blue Vera Wang gown for The Met Gala on Monday evening. The low-plunging neckline and peplum detailing definitely gave the look a feminine flair.

“In honor of Vera’s design I put all these purple highlights in my hair to have a punk moment,” Kerry told model Hilary Rhoda during Vogue.com’s live streaming of the red carpet. “I’ve never done anything like this before in my life!”
