The Body Shop Pulse store and eco-conscious products

I have been a fan of The Body Shop products since I was in High School! The company was one of the first companies that advertised their non-animal testing stamp of approval!! We also loved their in-store concept of testing and trying out any potential product purchase.

Well The Body Shop is continuing with their store concept originality to this day. Last week at the James Hotel in New York City, I was fortunate to learn about the new Pulse concept store. The Pulse concept store aims to engage, educate? and ?inform consumers about activism, products and in-store campaigns. It’s part of a worldwide redesign of the Body Shops’ 2,600 boutiques in more than 60 countries, an interactive retailing model with information and conversation areas designed to encourage customers to spend more time engaging in their products before they buy. Every Pulse store will have dedicated Makeup Artist and Skincare Experts who have undertaken rigorous and specialized training programs to help you look and feel your best. There are community and “value walls” to highlight global campaigns and to provide details about them. And they’ve even added some energy-efficient lighting that reduces energy consumption by 25% -very eco-conscious.

Kudos to their first ever Global Brand Ambassador activist and actress Lily Cole, who’s Pearl radiance Primer ($22) and Shimmer Cubes ($22) are our favorites…not to mention great for travel!!

And just in time for summer, The Body Shop introduces its new line of Body Mists ($12). Available in all your favorite classic The Body Shop flavors, but our absolute favorite is Grapefruit!! It leaves your skin refreshed and fragrant.

While you are on the magical shopping experience, make sure you sign the Cruelty Free International pledge in store or online at www.crueltyfreeinternational.org/telltheworld

Cruelty Fee International estimates that 80 per cent of countries worldwide still allow animal testing for cosmetics products and ingredients.

It’s calling on governments around the world for a ban on animal testing for cosmetics.

All products are available at your local The Body Shop now and are available at www.thebodyshop-usa.com.
