AR Rahman to compose for Danny Boyle again

AR Rahman will be creating music for Hollywood director Danny Boyle for this year’s Olympics.

It was a week ago we came to know that a yesteryear song composed my maestro Ilayaraja will be played at the inaugural meet of Olympics 2012.

Now the latest buzz is that Oscar-Grammy winner AR Rahman will be composing part of the score that Danny Boyle will be using in the 2012 summer Olympics.

Rahman and Danny Boyle first worked together in Slumdog Millionare, which went on to make waves all over the globe. Then they teamed up two years later for 127 Hours.

“I am doing a track for him for the Olympics. It’s one of the songs for the opening ceremony. It’s a secret,” Rahman was quoted as saying.

Interestingly, Ilayaraja composed Naandhaan Ungappanda… from the 1981 film Ram Lakshman, starring Kamal Haasan and Sripriya in lead roles, also features among the list of 86 songs which are to be played during the opening ceremony of Olympics this year.
