Tiger Woods has completed an impressive preparation for this week’s US PGA Championship by completing a seven-stroke victory in the Bridgestone Invitational.

Woods has won the event for an eighth time, finishing at 15-under, seven shots clear of defending champion Keegan Bradley and Swede Henrik Stenson.

Woods has fired an even par 70 for his final round.

“With these conditions it was going to be tough for anyone to shoot 62 or 63 and I thought my job was to get out there and shoot something around par. It was a perfect day to protect. I thought I did a pretty good job of that I played really conservative and thought I did a pretty good job of being smart.”

It’s Woods’ 18th title from 42 starts in World Gold Championships events, which are the tier below the majors.
