AR Rahman has struck a deal with distributor and financier Eros International

AR Rahman has struck a deal with distributor and financier Eros International to co-produce and score a feature film that he has written. A director and cast are yet to be announced. Rahman will co-produce via his YM Movies shingle that has produced the music videos “Infinite Love” and “Changing Seasons”.

While details of the film’s plot are yet to be revealed, Rahman said that he came up with the idea during several long flights between India and Los Angeles. The composer has bases in Chennai, London and L.A.

The ‘Jai Ho’ composer also received Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations for Boyle’s “127 Hours.” A superstar at home long before “Slumdog Millionaire” Rahman has won all of India’s composing awards on multiple occasions.
