The world’s top LPGA players are this week in China for the LPGA Classic at Reignwood Pine Valley in Beijing.

It is the first time the LPGA has come to Beijing and it seems no expense has been spared on the tournament. According to heavily government controlled news website www.chinadaily.com, the total prize money at the event “will amount to $18 billion this year.”

Michelle Wie has been lured by the $18 billion purse and today tweeted a photo of herself with Beatriz Recari and Jessica Korda in China. Both Wie and Korda shared a laugh as they held up a two finger salute, indicating how many feet taller they are than the Spaniard in the middle.
