ASIANCE: What would you like to see Kyla achieve that she hasn’t already?
Jenny: Kyla is just 17 years old. She is very young. She works hard. She works smart and is very disciplined. She has a lot of potential for all four events – for both the difficulty part and the execution part – that she is working towards to bring out.
ASIANCE: It looks like you have achieved everything in coaching already. Is there anything else on your list that you’d like to achieve?
Jenny: Thank you for your praise. But I think coaching at this level is an on-going process of improvement. I am still learning something new from different country, from different coaches, from different judges, and from different gymnasts all the time. Our next achievement? How about another Gold for Kyla Ross?
ASIANCE: What is the most important characteristic that you look for in a world class gymnast? what is second? What is third?
Jenny: One, High Difficulty. Two, High Execution. And three, hit both when it matters!
ASIANCE: What advice would you give to young girls who want to get into the sport of gymnastics?
Jenny: Work hard, have fun, and most importantly, enjoy this sport! The Olympic spirit is in the partaking of the sport! As long as you keep going, work hard, do good, step by step, you will always become a healthier and stronger person working towards your goal!
