Lorde made headlines when it was discovered that she was dating boyfriend James Lowe, who is seven years older than her AND Asian (I mean, come on!). Even worse, James was subjected to nasty comments from fans on twitter and instagram.
Now, James is finally speaking out on being the target of tabloids and nasty comments from twitter trolls. He believes that fame has changed people around him, and admits that there have been times when fame has not been fun for him.
“While I’m not the centre of attention here (and f**k, the times I have, it’s never been fun), I do become aware of the people around me and their transparency,” he wrote on his blog.
He seems to also be incredibly bothered by the paparazzi. He rants about pictures of him a Lorde being all over the Internet.
“I’ve experienced being a target of the tabloids, finding moments I thought I was in safe hands splattered all over the internet, being pushed and shoved, or watching others get pushed and shoved by paparazzi just to get what they think they’re entitled to,” he complained.
James, 24, is a photographer and met Lorde, 17, when he began to do photography work for her.
Why are people even making her boyfriend issue?! It’s because he’s Asian!
