PepsiCo’s female CEO told a large crowd at the Aspen Ideas Festival
PepsiCo’s female CEO told a large crowd at the Aspen Ideas Festival that female professionals ‘pretend to have it all,’ but in reality that is just an illusion.
Indra K. Nooyi, made the comments while being interviewed Monday on stage at the annual summit also headlined this year by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and other influencers.
‘I don’t think women can have it all,’ Nooyi. ‘I just don’t think so. ‘We pretend we have it all. We pretend we can have it all.’
She made the remarks in response to a question that stemmed from a controversial essay in The Atlantic from earlier this year titled ‘Why Women Still Can’t Have It All’ during an interview being conducted by the magazine’s owner, David Bradley.
