Ten minutes before the collection was set to go live on H&M’s

Ten minutes before the collection was set to go live on H&M’s Web site at 10 a.m. EST, the entire site crashed.

This isn’t the first time the low-cost fashion giant has experienced an online snafu: Three years ago, Versace for H&M also crashed the site.

If you can’t get to the store, and your Internet connection leaves a lot to be desired, don’t stress: Many items from the collection often later wind up for bid on eBay, listed for two, or even three, times their retail price.

And that looks like it will be your only option. As of noon, the Web site is up and running — but nearly all of the items are sold out.
