Despite being one of the fastest growing minorities in the United States, the needs of the Asian American and Pacific Islander population have not figured high in the nation’s higher education agenda, a new report says.

For example, four out of five East Asians (Chinese, Japanese and Koreans) who enrolled in college earned at least a bachelor’s degree, compared with around one-third Laotian and Hmong students.
