The University of Guam will host a discussion on the importance of strengthening the national Asian American and Pacific Islander political pipeline tomorrow, according to a UOG press release.

As part of the university’s School of Business and Public Administration speaker series, Terrina Gogue of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), will present “The Pacific Pipeline: Activating Our Voice in DC.”

The presentation will discuss ways to connect Pacific Islander leaders with the national network and community infrastructure already in place at the local, territorial and national levels.

The event will take place on tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Anthony Leon Guerrero Multipurpose Room (129), Jesus and Eugenia Leon Guerrero School of Business and Public Administration Building, on the University of Guam campus.

Terrina Gogue focuses on empowering Asian Pacific American communities across the country.

In her current position, Gogue assists the organization with program planning and implementation, outreach and communications, fundraising and other tasks needed to fulfill the mission of APAICS.

Previously, Gogue interned for the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), both in the office of its current chair Rep. Judy Chu and in the office of its former chair, Rep. Michael Honda.

Gogue earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland’s School of Public Health.
