It’s what we’ve all been waiting for: The China Sexology Association has provided a breakdown of sex habits across China.
The NGO, in partnership with magazines Health News and Well-Being, questioned 10,520 male and female professionals across 22 cities earlier this year to gain some insight as to what’s going on between the sheets.
For forty-four percent of men, not much. The large majority of males surveyed say they have sex less than once per week. A slightly smaller group, 37 percent of males, report having sex between one and three times per week, and a triumphant 8 percent of men say they’re getting it on more than five times a week.
The report doesn’t include exact figures for women but the association claims that the results are similar.
Moving on, 39 percent of male and female respondents say that their bedroom antics usually last between 10 and twenty minutes, while 24 percent report doing the deed in less than 10. Another 15 percent of respondents say they typically go at it for 30 minutes or more.
Thirty-seven percent of men and women report feeling “extremely satisfied” with their sex lives, while the majority, 51 percent of respondents, say they’re “basically satisfied”. Eight percent of people consider sex to be routine, while four percent view it only as necessary for reproduction.
These people may fall into the group of women (21 percent) who say they’ve never experienced an orgasm. Another 15 percent of women surveyed say they experience an orgasm every time they have sex.
Fifty-five percent of men, on the other hand, said they’ve experienced “Level 4″ erections. Experts believe stiffness trumps length in terms of importance.
Similar tips and further findings will be published in the soon-to-be-released “China Ideal Sex Bluebook”. Until then, enjoy this mildly inappropriate video reviewing their findings on the age-old art of sexing.
