I have a secret to share with you all: you DON’T need to buy all those fancy silver cleaning creams, dips, and polishing cloths. There is an easy and natural way to clean all your jewelry in one fell swoop.
These are the 3 essential items you need:
- Aluminum pan/tin (the disposable type is perfect). It can even be your leftover tin from your Chinese take-out.
- Baking soda – about 2 tablespoons (depending on how much jewelry you want to clean)
- Boiling hot water
Directions:
- Lay your tarnished sterling silver jewelry across the bottom of the pan or tin. Make sure they are not on top of each other. They must be spread out so each piece touches a part of the pan.
- Sprinkle the 2 table spoons of BAKING SODA across all the jewelry. If you have a large pan, you should use more than 2 tablespoons.
- Set your water to boil. When the water is at boiling point, then pour into the aluminum pan. Make sure the water covers everything.
