South Korean Kim Yu-Na will come into the Vancouver Olympics as the heavy favorite after going unbeaten in the Grand Prix season. Kim is the first one to come out of South Korea at this level.

Kim Yu-Na will have to watch Japan’s Mao Asada. Asada took the crown in 2008. Kim has won three of the last four Grand Prix final titles, with Asada winning the other.

The U.S. has been limited to just two spots in the women’s competition because of poor results at last year’s world championships and competition is expected to be fierce.

U.S. nationals will take place January 15-23 in Spokane, Washington. Look for Sasha Cohen, Alissa Czisny, Mirai Nagasu, the 2008 national champion, and Caroline Zhang to compete for one of those two slots.

In the video below, Michelle talks about the talent of Kim Yu-Na and what it will take for America to get back on top in the world of figure skating.
