The Yukawa-Chan Duo

The Yukawa-Chan Duo comprises two of the hottest artists in the UK right now and they’re making their NYC/Carnegie Hall debut next week, Thursday, March 20th.

Rosey Chan (left) is of Chinese decent and was raised in Tokyo, and Cassie Yukawa (right) is of Japanese origin.

Described as the “yin and yang of perfection (Sunday Independent),” Royal College of Music alumni Cassie Yukawa and Rosey Chan have found new ways of exploring the compelling dialogue of two pianos. Without neglecting the standard works, they stay true to their stout belief in the contemporary cause. Applauded for their imaginative and experimental repertoire, their programming extends from Mozart to contemporary composers such as Louis Andriessen.

As the recipient of the 2006 Tiffany & Co.’s “Rising Star” award, the Yukawa-Chan Duo represents a new generation of modern, multi-media artists. In addition to sold-out concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall, South Bank Arts Complex, and Wigmore Hall, the Yukawa-Chan Duo is dedicated to blending varied forms, genres, and styles of musical expression through collaboration with other artists including: ongoing commissioned digital soundtracks for Oscar nominated film director Mike Figgis (the recent screening of A Portrait of London in Trafalgar Square for the London Film Festival)
