National Asian Heritage Festival 2008 in Washington DC

The National Asian Heritage Festival 2008 is bringing back the 3rd annual Fiesta Asia street festival! During the May 17th Street fair at Pennsylvania Ave between 3rd St & 6th St, area residents and visitors will have an opportunity to savor the many flavors of Asian culture.

Participants of all ages will enjoy a wide array of activities, including live performances by musicians, vocalists and performance artists, cultural parade, Pan-Asian cuisine, martial arts demonstration, cultural displays and interactive activities, informational services, health testing, and much more.

New additions to the fair this year include overseas performers & artisans especially from Central Asia, lion dance competition, tasty Asia snack tent, Middle Eastern feature stage and home cooking demonstration. From China to India , from Kazakhstan to Indonesia , there is something for everyone! The fair is from 11:00 am – “ 7:00 pm.
