“The Sushi Prince Does New York” – two aspects of Japanese culture

“The Sushi Prince Does New York” mixes two popular aspects of Japanese culture, “Sushi” and “Karate”. Koichi Domoto, Japan's most beloved and celebrated actor of his generation stars in the film as “Sushi Prince”, himself, showcasing brilliant stunts. The cast also includes Tsuyoshi Ihara from The Golden Globe winning film, “Letters from Iwo Jima”(Directed by Clint Eastwood) and last but not least the highly acclaimed actress Yumiko Shaku. The brilliant costumes were designed by Native New Yorker, Costume Designer and Stylist Rosemary Ponzo.

Director Yukihiko Tsutsumi chose Ms. Ponzo for her innovative concepts and strong New York cultural background recreating the scenes and costumes from the famed artist and social icon Andy Warhol, along with the consortium of Andy's following of artists and celebrities, spanning the late 1960's and 70's, which included Mr. Warhol's famous “Factory” and Studio 54.
