The Love Guru Red Carpet

The Love Guru red carpet was actually blue..Hmm tryin to simulate an ice hockey rink probably. Well, as for our search for Asian presence on the carpet, we were blessed with the likes of Reggie Lee, controversial reality show star Tila Tequila and one of the stars of the film Manu Narayan (above with Deepak Chopra's son, Gotham). The funny thing was that Ms. Tequila's appearance brought hoots and hollers from the fans across the street of Hollywood Blvd as she strolled her way through the blue carpet. Weirdest thing though was her facial expression of pleasant surprise that she was getting all this attention. I guess you can say that since the new mother Jessica Alba wasn't there. I'm sure there would've of been more shouts for her. Even film star Meagan Good didn't get the rousing crowd craziness as Asian beauty Tequila.

While Reggie Lee checked into the media check in, he had to deal with some slight security problems as it seemed like the security guard wouldn't let him and his publicist through. Lee's guest didn't get the chance to accompany him on the carpet. Finally after security let him through, I was a bit surprised that the photographers actually made more noise for Reggie than the fans. Usually, event photogs would shout louder for female celebs than male celebs. Reggie, “You've come a long way from Pirates and Fast and Furious.”

As for film star Manu Narayan, I made sure to take some shots with eye contact. Damn, what big brown eyes he has. He was joined on the carpet with his mother and also pulled Deepak Chopra's son, Gotham, out of the guest line to take a few shots with him on the carpet.

Mike Myers was a definite fun celebrity to shoot as he grabbed Romany Malco and gave him a give kiss on a cheek and Romany returned the favor. These crazy guys!

For Justin Timberlake, he's a nice guy from Tennessee that doesn't like the spotlight on him, but only when he's performing. He did take a moment to pose for the cameras. But that was a quick moment. I was one of the fortunate few photogs to actually get him to smile into my lens. My feature writer said that sitting right next to him at “The Love Guru” press junket last week, gave her the feeling that Timberlake exudes humbleness. It would've been nice to see Jessica Biel on his side but tonight was not going to be.
