“Loins of Punjab Presents” Review

“Loins of Punjab Presents” was absolutely hilarious! I left the theater feeling giddy. It had a great Bollywood feel but it was a realistic comedy with themes of Indian-American culture and jokes. The story is about a “Desi Idol” competition held at a hotel in Jersey, where we meet a bunch of different characters as they take us on a wild ride through the event, from the auditions to backstage backstabbing. It's one of those feel good films where things all make sense in the end and anyone can appreciate the humor, romance, song and dance, and even teary-eyed philosophy of the film. There are beautiful and funny actors along with very good comedic timing. Here is the pic from the screening, with the director Manish Acharya and three of the talented actors in the film.
