Mumbai is the star!

As Danny Boyle mentioned in his interview with us, he wanted to film a thriller in the city of Mumbai.

It’s finally been confirmed that his desire will be coming true. Danny bought the rights to “Maximum City: Bombay Lost and Found”, a non-fiction work which is part travelogue, part memoir and gives a colorful overview of Mumbai’s history and people, written by Suketu Mehta, .

Mr. Boyle also hired award winning writer and Slumdog collaborator Simon Beaufoy to put pen to film. Any idea who will star in the movie? Beaufoy said that the real star of the film would be Mumbai itself.

“It’s such a vibrant, young city. Whereas in London, everything is in a sense hidden away, in Mumbai it’’s just all there in the open – all the emotion, all the characters,” he said.


Can he score Oscar gold with the same team and same city twice? I sure hope so!
