Charles Schwab pulls sponsorship on Melissa Lee’s porn report

As we reported earlier, CNBC daring Melissa Lee will report on the multibillion dollar controversial porn industry. While MSNBC, Fox News and CNN load their primetime lineup with heavy hitters, CNBC sees most of its success during the business day. Its special Marijuana Inc. was, at the time, the most-watched documentary in network history.

However, not all CNBC sponsors are thrilled with the topic. Charles Schwab, a regular sponsor of the 5pmET Fast Money program (as well as others) pulled its sponsorship from the program after a preview segment made it seem like Schwab was associated with the sex doc.

One source tells Mediaite that Schwab did not pull its sponsorships from CNBC as a whole, just chose to move its sponsored segments to other programs.
