A woman who claims to be a UCLA student rants about Asian students and their lack of “manners” while using the library. In one moment, she impersonates an Asian student talking on the phone (“ching chong ling long ting tong”); in another, she complains that “they’re going through their whole families, just checking on everybody from the tsunami thing.” HORRIBLE!
She pulled the video off Youtube but other accounts have reposted copies.
The university hasn’t determined whether the woman in the video is actually a student, the Daily Bruin reports. UCLA spokesperson Phil Hampton has issued a statement, revealing that the university does not tolerate that kind of attitude, and will be looking into the matter!
He said:
“We’ve seen the video and it includes comments that we find offensive. They are contrary to the values of UCLA.”
