Takeshi Sato “Gospel” Exhibition in NYC
”GOSPEL” became interested in drawing and painting when he was a child. In 1990, he moved to Tokyo, alone, in search of a better drawing environment.
He keeps searching for his own style and teaches himself different types of skills. The characters, which he creates by using a variety of techniques such as, acrylic, airbrush or spray, attract many people regardless of genre. In Japanese Hip Hop culture, which keeps developing in various ways, he keeps projecting a unique image in accordance with his first impulse. Look-alikes become more and more common these days. His style of cherishing his real origin and his various works of live paint, apparel, CD artwork and magazine covers are recognized and supported widely through Hip Hop, major ground and underground.
