Advisor Explains Asian-American Reports: MyFoxTWINCITIES.com
New data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows the Asian-American population has grown by 43 percent over the past decade. In Minnesota, the growth is outpacing the national averages.
To address some of the unique issues facing the Asian-American community, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders prepared a report with policy recommendations for 23 federal agencies.
The report, which was presented to President Barack Obama this week, was made public at the Hmong National Conference in Minneapolis.
FOX 9 News spoke with Duoa Thor, a member of the president’s advisory commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, to learn more about the report and what was discussed at the conference.
