Aaron Yoo Stars in Cancer PSA
Korean actor, Aaron Yoo, will join a dozen of young Hollywood stars in a public service campaign to raise awareness for cancer.
Actors Vanessa Hudgeson and Zac Efron will join Yoo and others in a campaign called “Change the Odds” in support of Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), which raises funds for innovative cancer research. By casting young Hollywood, the campaign is hoping to bring a younger audience in on the SU2C movement.
The PSA is co-directed by Marc Webb and Rich Lee. It features eight vignettes of scenarios with relatively low odds such as dating a supermodel (1 in 88, 000) or injury caused by shaving (1 in 6,585). The last vignette shows that in the United States, one in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
The PSA hopes to raise awareness to the illness and ways to educate young people about the ways they can reduce their cancer risk.
“Change the Odds” will air Stand Up to Cancer on September 10th.
