Director John M Chu to direct Justin Bieber film

Jon M. Chu, whose latest film, “Step Up 3D,” was recently released, has been hired to direct the 3D film chronicling Mr. Bieber’s rise to the top of the music charts and into young girls’ hearts, Reuters reported. In a statement, Mr. Chu, said, “Most people don’t know that his is a true underdog story, and I hope to tell it in a compelling, genuine way, using all source materials available to convey his tale of becoming an icon for this digital age.” A release date has been set for Valentine’s Day weekend.
