Thakoon start on time with or without Models and Editors

Thakoon’s show at New York Fashion Week chose punctuality over the presence of his models and top editors, many sources on Twitter reports.

When the Y-3 show ran late, many editors, buyers and three of his models were locked out of the show, tweeted Business of Fashion, who was one of many who missed the show. Those who missed the show were left standing in the rain while the show proceeded with key pieces in white, denim and python.

Joe Zee, Creative Director of Elle magazine, tweeted that Thakoon started the show as quickly as possible to allow editors to run uptown to preview Tom Ford’s new womenswear collection.

Those who were able to make the show have tweeted good reviews calling Thakoon’s collection “light and lovely” and “beyond belief”.
