Brenda Song at the MTV Movie Awards

It’s hard to think our sweet, little London Tipton from the Disney Channel will now be a sexy co-ed, trying to get into Mark Zuckerberg’s pants. How far fetched!?

The LA Times caught up with Brenda Song on the red carpet of the MTV Movie Awards this weekend and asked about her upcoming film, “The Social Network”. It’s not a surprise that employees of Facebook are not too pleased with the story line of the film, however, Zuckerberg should be flattered the producers hired Song to be in a movie about him. Just saying….

Brenda Song doesn’t play his girlfriend (please fix this pure error).

Brenda plays the female lead, Christy Lee in the movie.

She’s a psychotic, promiscuous and yet intelligent Harvard university student. She dates Eduardo Saverin initially prior to committing arson in the movie and becoming wild. Her role is great.

She’s not the female lead, but she does have a nice role. Rooney Mara is the female lead… Let’s support the film! xx

Rooney Mara is not the female lead, she is actually billed under Brenda, if you want more evidence look at the movie’s official website (the cast section has the billing, Brenda is billed much above Rooney Mara).

Rooney is also barely in the trailer and previews like the Film Comment magazine’s current issue (where the NY Film Festival/Film Comment has gotten its hands on a lot of exclusive previews of the movie).

Rooney’s role is small, but the media pays a lot of attention and more emphasis to her when they’re discussing the movie because Rooney landed the lead role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, a hugely anticipated David Fincher-directed film version of the best-selling novel. The film series already has a huge following and a lot of buzz especially from media outlets.

Rooney, in the movie, has only about 2 prominent scenes and a few minutes of airtime broken up in different scenes. She’s billed first on IMDB due to an error on the site caused by a user. I (an IMDB user) tried updating the cast order, I found it difficult because a lot of other users are billing Brenda Song 3rd and Andrew Garfield 3rd too. That caused a huge malfunction, therefore leading to the incorrect cast order. IMDB are fixing the problem though. Most of IMDB’s information is actually submitted by amateur IMDB.com users, even the new ones. One IMDB user messed up the cast order by changing the number (cast order), now its false.

The admins of the site are trying their best to fix the error. It will probably take 4-5 days to go back to the correct cast order.
