Ground Show Takes off in London

Chinese fashion house, Ground Show, took London by surprise with its earthy, ready-to-wear collection inspired by the Chinese natural landscape.

The brand’s creative director, Wang Yuan, accessorized the models with floral print and brightly hued rainboots from Joules – an English clothing company inspired by the countryside.

The collection consisted mainly of separates that could be layered and reinterpreted for different seasons. Roll- neck tunics, unstructured dresses and an interesting play of proportions were amidst the wide color palette. The collection started off with brightly colored dresses in magentas, turquoises and purples slowly evolved into grays, greens and burgundies accented with a floral motif. Voluminous dresses were paired with colorful leggings tucked in rainboots. Dresses came in all different hem lengths – some were worn with leggings while others with harem pants tucked into boots to create a doubly voluminous silhouette. But perhaps the piece-de-resistance was the hat from the final outfit with its large knitted flowers, braided tassels and pom poms.

This is Ground Show’s second time showing at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. They showed last year for the first time at the same event.
