Ne-Yo a Superhero?

R&B star, Ne-Yo is teaming up with comics legend, Stan Lee, on a new collaboration that will see an ambitious multi-media project.

For Ne-Yo’s upcoming album, Libra Scale, he is collaborating with Lee on a comic strip that will accompany the album. The comic strip and album share the same name.

A continuous narrative of live-action done in the style of a comic-book will be represented in the album’s first three singles, Beautiful Monster, Champagne Life and One in a Million.

The storyline revolves around Jerome who is given superhero powers. The catch is, he must never fall in love. When love ensues and the pact is broken, the woman he falls in love with turns into the evil villain and the battle between the two former lovers follow.

Lee is creator behind mega superheroes Spider-Man, Iron Man and the Hulk.

Ne-Yo is three-quarters African American and one-quarter Vietnamese American on his mother’s side.

Libra Scale goes on sale November 1st.
