Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel has joined the cast of Aaron Sorkin’s

Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel has joined the cast of Aaron Sorkin’s HBO pilot, “More As This Story Develops”. Patel was working before he broke out in the Danny Boyle Oscar bait, having starred in the British “Skins”.

The pilot, Sorkin’s foray back into TV after his Academy Award win for The Social Network’s screenplay, revolves around a cable news network and co-stars Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, Sam Waterston and Olivia Munn. Patel will be a series regular who also works at the channel. Greg Mottola will be directing the pilot.
