Top Chinese drama producer dies
MediaCorp’s Senior Vice-President for regional Chinese drama productions, Victor Lau, died on Sunday evening. He lost his battle with an illness.
Mr Lau was behind many successful productions such as “The Bond”, “Good Morning, Teacher” and “The Unbeatables 1, 2 and 3.”
MediaCorp said he started out in the telemovie productions before spearheading many co-production initiatives in China.
In a statement, the company said it “salutes and celebrates his achievements in his long, illustrious career and his passing is a big loss to us.”
