My Favorite Fashion Weeks

I often have to attend Fashion Week in New York City but I have to confess that my favorite fashion weeks are held in the South!

Anyone can attend and some of my favorite up and coming designers showcase their creations like Lucinda Robinson’s Lucinda Eden line. I bid on one of her dresses at a Junior League/Union League Party at the Park Avenue Racquet Club four years ago. The Junior League thrift shops as well as the parties mostly in the southern states feature beautiful debutante style dresses from designers like Lucinda. I can assure you that you will NOT find them anywhere in the tri-state area!

I attend the following Fashion Weeks:
Baltimore, MD-Aug 11-14 baltimorefashionweek.com tics appx $40+
Charlotte,NC-Sept 29-Oct1 charlottefashionweek.com tics appx$35+
Alexandria, VA-Oct 20-23 novafashionweek.com tickets appx $20+

The great thing about these shows is that the most talented designers are debuting their creations before they become famous so you get the chance to wear the most unique designs at the best prices!

Case in point: Does anyone know of Josephine Sasso? I was going to see her back in the early 90’s at her showroom in her old apartment on 95th on the Upper East Side in Normandie Court believe it or not. I bought so many dresses and wraps, Jackets etc. and would be fuming if I saw another girl in NYC with one of her creations. I prided myself on discovering her and found her through a friend at the NYAC.

    No problemo!

Just call me the fairygodmother of fashion! The yellow gown that I own that is featured on her site is very classy and elegant! I have worn it 3 times already and so many women have asked me who I am wearing. It looks amazing with a tan due to the yellow sheen.

I have to say, it was very interesting to have learned the history of each of the team’s cheerleading uniforms. They are actually created by top fashion designers. The visual aspect of the uniforms for the NFL Cheerleaders is of utmost importance! I can say firsthand, they are all of superior quality and almost as gorgeous as the Cheerleaders! The boots are also of the finest quality available. That is why the colors are so vibrant from any angle in the stadium. I love all of the uniforms! It is very prestigious to have an original NFL Cheerleading Uniform and be able to save it as a keepsake in your home!

The South is where I find most of my favorite designers. Most of them are featured at the Fashion Weeks and the Junior League and Debutante Parties. They always have silent auctions where the designers donate their creations. I believe Lucinda participated in Charleston’s Fashion Week.

Are you kidding me? Congrats! Now everyone will be wearing your yellow gown. I have to admit, I do attend many the elite party and many socialites ask me who I am wearing. I am not surprised. I have an incredible eye for fashion and you are super talented. I knew I would see you featured on the Fashion Channel or in a magazine like VOGUE sooner than later!

Again, Congratulations! We do love your line along with everyone else!

FYI-I put the yellow gown photo on my blog bc so many girls asked me about it at a few parties in NYC. I am sure you are going to get a lot of inquiries about that one!

Another great Lucinda Eden dress, similar sihouette to the black chanel dress I had made.
