Jimmy Choo launches fragrance with non-Asian

After 15 years in the shoe biz, the brand is launching its first fragrance, starring none other than its founder Tamara Mellon.

The scent will simply be called Jimmy Choo. “We’ve transitioned into a lifestyle luxury brand, and it seemed like the next natural step for us,” Tamara Mellon, co-founder and chief creative officer of Jimmy Choo, told WWD at a London event to launch the fragrance. “Fragrance is such an important accessory for women — I think it will have a very broad reach. Our customer is every woman.

Weird. Fragrance simply called ‘Jimmy Choo’, yet starring a white woman. hmmmmm

I love love love Jimmy Choo’s! I want to interview Tamara Mellon. I really love her shoes! Very talented woman! I once had a dream that I woke up to a house full of Jimmy Choo Shoes and was very disappointed to discover that it was all just a dream. 🙁
