9 killed by floods, mudslides in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka’s government says that at least nine people have been killed in floods and mudslides caused by heavy rain across the country.

The Disaster Management Center said in a statement Sunday that one person has been reported missing and more than 55,000 people have become homeless and are housed in camps.
