Aishwarya Rai already has her own charity organization, “Aishwarya Rai Foundation” but she has just been named goodwill ambassador for “Smile Train”. It’s the world’s largest charity organization established to help those born with a cleft lip or cleft palate.

Aishwarya has expressed gratitude for having been chosen to shoulder such a noble responsibility and will help those children who are born with a cleft lip or cleft palate. Aishwarya, as the goodwill ambassador of Smile Train, will work in close cooperation with the organization which will provide free cleft surgery in about 76 developing countries, including India. The endeavor will also initiate a propaganda campaign to spread awareness about the problem among the masses and make people realize that a cure is possible.
