Wobbly Earth means your horoscope is wrong

Stars shifted over 2,000 years so horoscope signs are nearly a month off

If you look to your horoscope for a preview of your day, look again: You’re probably following somebody else’s supposed fate.

Thanks to Earth’s wobble, astrological signs are, well, bunk. (Or even more bunk than you might expect.) Astrological signs are determined by the position of the sun relative to certain constellations on a person’s day of birth. The problem is, the positions were determined more than 2,000 years ago. Nowadays, the stars have shifted in the night sky so much that horoscope signs are nearly a month off.

“Astrology tells us that the sun is in one position, whereas astronomy tells us it’s in another position,” said Joe Rao, SPACE.com’s skywatching columnist and a lecturer at New York’s Hayden Planetarium.

“The earliest known astronomer to recognize and assess the movement of precession was Aristarchus of Samos, who lived around 280 B.C.,” Rao told LiveScience.

The attention triggered by his interview with the newspaper has been “astounding.” Kunkle, who teaches astronomy at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, told Livescience, He gave the interview at the request of the paper to discuss precession, and the science he described is centuries old, he said.

Astrology is much more popular than this article indicates. Also, it is much more of a respected science as well. It goes back to ancient times and has been followed and respected by the Asian Culture.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this article is the most popular of all of my posts for the day!

Also, designers like Vera Wang are preparing for a sell-out season due to the 2011 Year of the Rabbit! Remember in the Chinese/Asian Culture, Year of the Rabbit is the most popular wedding year due to the desire to conceive the Dragon child! This is not a belief that is taken lightly. The results speak for themselves!

Another thing. I cannot get along with Taurus women!! They get under my skin! The same holds true for Scorpio men. Why is that?? It happens repeatedly in my life. I usually find out after the fact that they are under that sign and then it makes perfect sense. They both possess personality traits that I find despicable as an Aquarian. And yes, I am an Aquarian thru and thru, not a Capricorn regardless of what this article says. I am quirky, eccentric, entrepreneurial, airy, and march to the beat of my own drummer!
