A doctor had to be summoned when Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse

A doctor had to be summoned when Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse suddenly suffered an asthma attack on Monday, just prior to the commencement ceremony for his new film “The Next Miracle”, reported Hong Kong media.

Members of the production crew said they immediately called a doctor to Tse’s hotel room after they observed him having trouble breathing.

“Nicholas’ airway became constricted and he could not breathe. When the doctor came to the hotel to see Tse, he asked the production staff to go get an oxygen concentrator at once.

The 30-year-old actor had apparently been unwell since late July and had cancelled a host of public appearances because of a high fever due to a nasty flu.

Despite the cancellations, Tse still had a lot on his plate – he had to leave Hong Kong for Shanghai to shoot a commercial, immediately after his son Lucas’ birthday celebrations on Tuesday last week, before starting work on “The Next Miracle”.

Speculation is rife that Tse’s hectic schedule was not the sole cause of his ill health lately, with media reports claiming that his ongoing marital problems with actress wife Cecilia Cheung is also to blame.

Even if this were true, Tse would not be the only one feeling the strain from his marital troubles.

Cheung too has to juggle a hectic work schedule with her efforts to deal with a slew of media reports that portrayed her as a gold digger.
