Li Jing Talks with Ivanka Trump & Wendi Murdoch on Fashion & Success
On Feburary 7, TV Host, social media expert and founder of www.Cultureli.com, Li Jing, interviewed Ivanka Trump and Wendi Murdoch, two high profile business executives at a Trump jewelry event in Manhattan.
As a prominent international TV host who has worked for the largest media in China and America, Jing talked about fashion, Chinese New Year and success advice with these elite business women.
Dressed in a stunning fluffy Zang Toi gown, Li Jing shared her own experience on fashion.
“I grew up in a 10×10 room in Beijing China with a family of four. We couldn’t afford buying new dresses so my mom always made dresses for me and my sister. It actually became a great fashion influence on me because I could go pick materials, buttons, style and choose a design with my mom. Now I am wearing a dress by famous American designer Zang Toi attending red carpet events with American celebrities. My humble beginning made me appreciate fashion and everything I have in life, even obstacles.” Jing told reporters at the event.
As a real estate executive, jewelry designer, book author and “The Apprentice” TV star, Ivanka Trump wore many hats. She told Li Jing fashion is the way to express yourself. She started as a model and shot with renowned photographers such as Gilles Bensimon, who was also a guest. Trump said they already have a real estate business in China and plan to open 5 Jewelry stores in the world’s second largest economy over the next three years.
Wendi Murdoch discovered Li Jing is from the same province in China and they have a common friend, fashion designer Zang Toi. When asked about her priority in life, Wendi said family, especially her two daughters. She is excited about the release of her new movie later this year. Li Jing and Wendi Murdoch have both made it to the top of the American media business: Jing has worked for top media companies such as CBS and NBC while Wendi has worked for FOX, Myspace and Star TV.
Wendi said very positively that being a minority in high society can be an advantage because you are unique and your voice can be heard more.
Attendants also include fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon, LVMH N. A. Chairman Renaud Dutreil and international photography agency Bruun.net owner Noah Bruun.
