Facebook adds civil unions to profiles
Facebook on Thursday began letting its more than 600 million members indicate whether they are in civil unions or domestic partnerships in what was seen as a victory for same-sex couples. Facebook added “in a civil union” and “in a domestic partnership” to the list of relationship options in profiles.
The list has long included single, married, divorced, open relationship, and “it’s complicated.” Facebook said the additions were “highly requested” by users and that the California-based online social networking star wanted to let people “genuinely and authentically reflect their relationships” in the virtual community.
Facebook members can chose whether to make gender and relationship status part of profile information made public in the online community.
Looks to me like they are cashing in on the dying marriage market. I’ve never been happier to be unmarried!
I like your taste. I think if a person wants something very much in a long run he achieves it. As for me, I’m fond of fashion. I found a lot of fashion shows at shared files SE http://filecraft.com/?x=1&q=fashion+show . Hope you’ll like it too.
All of my married friends are freaking out as I write this. This is great for men and terrible for married women! I have married girlfriends who literally put photos on their husbands’ facebook profiles of themselves from 20+ years ago that look nothing like they look now in an attempt to scare women away from their man! They monitor that thing like it is an atomic bomb waiting to explode! For example, “Who is Jane Smith and why is she trying to contact you?” etc. etc. etc.
My male married friends have figured out a way to outsmart this monitoring system. They post a public photo and facebook address and keep the rest of the profile private at the spouse’s request. Then when a woman makes an attempt to contact them, they let her know about a duplicate account that they can use unbeknownst to the wife. Hell, I even have past loves trying to contact me on their second accounts! You’ll see more older men trading in their spouses for newer and younger models because they can and it is easier than ever before to connect.
Facebook will cause more separations, divorces and newly single people on the market than ever before. Mark my words!
My advice to women who have hot husbands, keep them away from facebook and lock them away forever! Otherwise, my prayers are with you! I’d be afraid of women like me, and then some.
